Splitscreen by JW Griffiths. Shot completely on an Nokia N8 phone. Which is weird. If only my nokia was as good as a phone as the N8 shoot movies.

Zarna II
I photographed my friend Zarna again for a themed shoot this time. I had my eye to photograph this seedy hotel in Nashville. It was a cheap hotel that looked very shady, but had beautiful teal railings with yellow speckled walls. I thought it would be a great place to do a shoot with her. You can see more on my flickr.
Thanks again Zarna.

Windy City
I visited Chicago for the first time a couple weeks ago. Amanda and I had such an amazing time. We booked a great hotel, went shopping, ate a ton of food. The Chicago weather did damper the photographic experience. A cold snap came by and gave us rain, 40 degree weather and, of course, WIND. Here are some of the snapshots I did take while at Second City.

Barbara Fritchie Restaurant
I drove Frederick, MD last week for a wedding. One of my friends suggest that we get brunch at this old diner with a candy cane sign. I had to check it out. It was fun little spot in Frederick.

Last Doughboy
Frank Buckles, the last surviving World War I U.S. veteran, passed away last night. I had the privilege of photographing Mr. Buckles several times during my times at The Journal. Buckles lived in a gorgeous home outside of Charles Town, WV. He was one of the most fascinating person I have ever photographed.
This is a shot when, then, Governor Joe Manchin honored Buckles at his home in 2007.
